If respirable crystalline silica is generated by processing silica sand, the following information applies:Prolonged and/or massive inhalation of respirable crystalline silica dust may cause lung fibrosis (silicosis). People with silicosis are reported to have an increased cancer risk. Exposure to dust should be monitored and managed.
